orann Schindler is just a small-town girl living in a lonely world…wait, that line has been used somewhere before. Okay, take two: Lorann Schindler is a makeup artist based out of the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas. Crediting Barbie as her first makeup inspiration, she would get her hands into anything she could find growing up to try to recreate Barbie’s many looks. At the age of eleven Lorann began to work with her local high school’s theatre department doing hair and makeup. By the time she was fourteen she had booked her first clients for homecoming and prom, and in the sixteen years since has not missed a single prom season. She knew early on that makeup would play a part in her life so she continued working with it throughout college.

Lorann is a creative who works in all mediums of art with makeup being her focus. She studied photography, and the basics of art and design principles at the University of North Texas before transferring to Tarleton State University. It was there that she obtained a Bachelors of Fine Arts concentrated on 2d media such as painting, as well as a minor in English. Lorann feels her extensive study of art has given her an edge in the world of makeup artistry. She is highly educated in color theory, color mixing, light theory, design principles, understanding composition, and more. This makes her more apt to taking art direction and being able to see the full picture of any project. Lorann’s inherent artistic nature helps her to take on any makeup related job from a clean simple beauty look, to covering a five o’clock shadow on camera, an avant garde editorial look, or to helping bring out a brides inner glow.

Upon her college graduation, Lorann attended the Terri Tomlinson Makeup Training Academy to continue learning, and hone in on her craft even more. Lorann has been freelancing now since 2011 while constantly continuing her makeup education. She prides herself on her sanitation practices during a makeup application. Lorann has worked on many photoshoots (fashion and commercial), runway shows where she has also served as key, TV/commercial sets, weddings, and more. She worked at KTXD-TV (London Broadcasting) as a makeup artist for Texas Living/D Living, The Texas Daily, and D: The Broadcast. She served six years as makeup artist on staff with the first US location of the European company; essensuals London, located in The Shops at Legacy in Plano, TX. Other clientele has included Fox Sports Southwest, NBC Sports/NASCAR, Aaron Carter, Macy’s, Harvard Business School for AT&T University, etc.
